Zoo FC defender will put himself on the transfer market if the club's planned appeal is quashed.
Alex Onchwari’s star was beginning to rise at Zoo FC before Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) slapped the club with expulsion from the league which will force him into the transfer market.
Onchwari’s performances at the heart of defence led to him having a burgeoning reputation despite the club fighting for survival in the league.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Onchwari revealed that should Zoo's expulsion from the league be upheld following the appeal being planned by the club, he will have to look for a different club.
“The club revealed that they will appeal the decision but if the decision is upheld I will have no choice but to look for a different team,”
“A number of teams had recently approached me, Bandari who the most serious club but I also had talks with KCB,” said the defender.

Zoo were expelled from the league after the world football governing body found the club guilty of match-fixing and were subsequently demoted to Division One.
The lanky defender was left dejected by the decision to expel the club from the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) as he still has a long term contract with the club.
“I felt really bad when the team was expelled from the league, but right now I’m just training individually because of course, the club has not resumed team training,”
“I still have a contract with the club that runs until 2024, but the club has not given us any communication with regards to the future aside from the appeal,” added the defender.
