If the newly formed Deportivo LSM becomes half as successful as the two Barcelona legends who founded it, it will reach unimaginable heights

Owning a football club has lately become a trend among the players, both retired and active. David Beckham co-owns Inter Miami and Salford City (with his ex-Man United teammate Gary Neville), Neymar is a partial owner of the Brazilian Red Bull Bragantino, Ronaldo Nazario is about to sell Real Valladolid, Kylian Mbappe has recently become co-owner of the French third-tier side Caen, etc.

However, all of the aforementioned players and business people have bought shares of existing clubs. But have you ever heard of a player - or in this case, two - who founded a club? Probably not, but now you will.

Barcelona icons and current Inter Miami teammates, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have founded a new club called Deportivo LSM, which is about to start life in the Uruguayan fourth tier.

Considering the duo's passion and love for football, they'll undoubtedly push for the best possible results with the newly formed team, and no one should be surprised if we see Deportivo LSM in Copa Libertadores or Copa Sudamericana very soon.

If Messi and Suarez's new "football child" becomes at least as half as successful as they have been, it will definitely reach unimaginable heights.
