Nzoia Sugar right back hopes to join his brother at the national team
After enviously watching his elder brother Harun Mwale make his Harambee Stars debut in the final 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo last week, Moses Mwale is keen to follow suit.
Stars head coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee's decision to hand the Ulinzi Stars left-back a rare call up to the national team left a number of local-based players inspired in their quest to don the national team colors.
Interestingly, among the players who drew inspiration from Harun's inclusion in the team is his younger brother Moses who turns for Nzoia Sugar.
Unlike Harun, Moses who is Nzoia's first-choice right-back has had spells with the national U20, Rising Stars and the national U23, Emerging Stars.

He was part of the Rising Stars team which unsuccessfully sought to qualify for the Africa Cup in 2018 after losing to Rwanda in the first round.
The former student at St Anthony's Boys High School, Kitale was also drafted into the Emerging Stars squad that lost their plot to nail a place in the Olympics to Sudan in 2019.
Having represented the country at the junior level, Moses who joined the sugar millers from Bandari at the start of the season says he is hoping to join his brother in the senior team by next year and possibly enjoy the rare opportunity of playing alongside him in the defense.
"Harun's inclusion in the team signified that hard work pays. He confided in me that he never thought of being called to the team. He played well against Togo and our family is very proud of him, I have a strong feeling that I will follow him in the team probably next year, " he said.
Moses who joined the dockers straight from school in December 2018 also alleged that his superb goal against Gor Mahia last month was a sign of good things to come.
Nzoia who have this season not shied from unleashing their giant killer aptitudes smacked the record champions 2-1 at the Mumias Sports Complex.

The youngster caught Boniface Oluoch napping with a long-range effort to open his goal account in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) three years after making his debut.
" The match was live and I believe the national team technical bench members saw what I can do. Scoring your first league goal against an opponent of Gor's caliber is quite something. It meant a lot to me and the courage derived from it and the match has been pushing me to become a better player, " he added.
