Barcelona boss calls injustice while Don Carletto acts cool after derby win
El Clasico brought us a big Real Madrid turnaround in which Jude Bellingham again showed his class and punished Barcelona for giving him too much space in key moments.
Former Barca captain Xavi admitted he was "hurt and frustrated like every culer".
"We dominated for 60-65 minutes. Real Madrid, with 20 minutes, scored two goals against us. We only scored one with 60 of domination. We deserved the victory. Perhaps I am exaggerating a little, but from my point of view from the bench, it is this. Madrid has the quality to kill you if you give them the chance."
Bellingham destroyed Barca even though Xavi's players managed to keep him quiet for most of the game.
"Defensively, their role was to recover balls and be aggressive. We controlled the game very well. Real Madrid generated very little. A shot from outside the area meant the equalization, and then a rebound gave them the second. We were unlucky. Bellingham has made a difference. He seems to me to be a great player, and on top of that he has the luck when he needs it, because today he scored the goal after a rebound."
Xavi's counterpart, Carlo Ancelotti, admires the Englishman's maturity and stability in the most heated fixture in Spanish football.
"We are surprised with Jude's level and his effectiveness above all. He comes from the second line. Today he surprised us with his shot with a wonderful goal from the front. He looks like a veteran. It's clear that the objective was to win because he didn't celebrate when he scored to make it 1-1. I think he can score 20 or 25 goals this season easily. Still, we expect our forwards to step up and contribute with goals."
