League leaders Trinity Starlets will welcome Kenyan giants Vihiga Queens as FKF Cup champions Kibera Soccer Women clash with Kenya Police Bullets FC.

The two matches were set to be played during the international break but were postponed due to Police and Vihiga having more than one player in the Harambee Starlets squad.

Ahead of Wednesday’s matches, Trinity are at the summit of the league table with 20 points, three more than second-placed Ulinzi Starlets, as Police Bullets and Kayole Starlets close the top four with 16 points each.

At the bottom of the log is Kisumu All Starlets with a single point, and are joined in the relegation zone by Kisped Queens and Kibera Soccer with four points and eight points respectively.

Trinity Starlets vs Vihiga Queens

The leaders’ form and impressive start to the season will be put to the test when they face Vihiga Bullets at the Comboni Polytechnic Grounds in Gilgil from 1300 hrs in what promises to be a high-octane match.

Trinity have enjoyed a good run since the appointment of coach Sylvanus Wesonga. The Gilgil-based side head into the match on the back of successive wins over Madira Soccer Assassins and Kayole Starlets.

Comboni has been a tough hunting ground for opposing teams, and Trinity will once again bank on home support against the Kenyan giants.

On his part, coach Boniface Nyamunyamu will be out to guide his team back to winning ways and end their four-match winless streak, which had seen them drop to seventh on the log after a good start to the season.

Kibera Soccer Women vs Kenya Police Bullets

At Marist International University College, Karen, FKF Cup reigning champions Kibera Soccer Women will renew their 2024/25 season rivalry with WPL defending champions Kenya Police Bullets from 1300 hrs.

The two teams were embroiled in a two-horse title race for the better part of last season before Kibera lost their form at the homestretch to settle for third place.

Kibera have had a poor start to the season largely due to the exit of key players and coach David Vijago, who crossed over to the Law Enforcers.

Vijago will be angling for a win against his former side as he seeks to return to winning ways and end their two-match winless streak.
