Almost immediately after this news appeared, as many as three Italian giants got in line for the Frenchman

Five days ago, Marseille were stunned against Rennes in the opening match of the Ligue 1 season, suffering a 1-0 defeat, despite being a man up for over an hour. And when the season starts that way, the tension quickly peaks.

Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe were reportedly on the verge of a physical altercation in the locker room after the game, and the club reacted reacted swiftly by - placing both players on transfer list?!

"Olympique de Marseille announces that Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe have been placed on the transfer list by the club."

"This decision was taken due to unacceptable behaviour in the dressing room after the match against Stade Rennais FC, in agreement with the technical staff and in accordance with the club's internal code of conduct."

"The decision was communicated to the two players by the club on Monday," it said in Olympique's official statement.

Still, the two "rule-breakers" didn't have to wait long to find suitors, as both are allegedly close to moving to Serie A.

On the one hand, Rowe has already received an offer from Bologna, while sources claim that AS Roma are also interested in him.

However, when it comes to Rabiot, the battle seems to have only begun. Namely, according to Foot Mercato journalist, Santi Aouna, Inter Milan, Juventus, and AC Milan immediately got in line for his signature, and the price is more than acceptable - €15 million.

At first glance, it seems that each of the three sides has its chances of bringing the 30-year-old.

The Nerazzurri have already done business with Marseille, as they bought Luis Henrique from the Velodrome club for €23 million two months ago. Juve gave up on Rabiot easily last year, even though he had spent five years in Turin, and now they would like to fix that mistake, while the Rossoneri see a good partner for Luka Modric in the French midfielder.

Rabiot joined Marseille last September, and except for Olympique and the aforementioned Bianconeri, he also played for Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse.
