Only seven points separate the bottom nine teams in the Premier League table
We already knew that the battle for Premier League survival would be tight, but on Tuesday night, we got another reminder of how fine the margins are. Leeds United are the winners of the night after coming from behind to beat Nottingham Forest at Elland Road, while managerless Leicester slipped into the bottom three with a damning home loss to Aston Villa.
So many huge performances tonight, standouts for me were

At Elland Road, Leeds were given a cold shower early on when Emmanuel Dennis passed it to Orel Mangala, who took a touch before striking a fantastic effort past Illan Meslier. However, Jack Harrison was the quickest to tuck in a rebound eight minutes later to level. Luis Sinisterra cut in from the left flank and beat Keylor Navas with a lovely curling shot to put Javi Gracia's team ahead as the home crowd increased the noise levels to new heights. It was three points the Yorkshiremen needed so badly and they held on to claim the victory.
It was strange to see Leicester City's home dugout without the familiar face of Brendan Rodgers. It was caretaker Adam Sadler who took charge of the Foxes and gave veteran striker Jamie Vardy a start against Aston Villa. The ambitious guests were the first to strike, however, as Ollie Watkins exploited a poor reaction from Leicester's defence and bundled the ball into the low corner. Harvey Barnes continued a string of nice goals with sublime control of a long forward pass from Wout Faes and a superb finish into the far corner to make it 1-1 ten minutes before the break. But the trouble was still lurking for the Foxes.
ASTON VILLA HAVE WON IT AT THE END!!!!

GOAL! Leicester 1-2 Aston Villa (Bertrand Traore)

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall got himself sent off with two bookable fouls in the space of just six minutes, making his team's task very hard for the last 20 minutes. And once again, they shot themselves in the foot, failing to clear a simple ball just in front of their area. The ball fell nicely for Bertrand Traore, who swung with his left foot and scored the winner with three minutes remaining. The Burkinabe only returned from his loan in Turkey on the last day of the January transfer window and he did great to raise his credit with Villa boss Unai Emery.
Brighton currently sit 6th in the Premier League.

Kaoru Mitoma, the classy Japanese dribbler, showed his talent again when he danced through the Bournemouth defence before laying the ball off nicely for Evan Ferguson. The Irishman showed that he also has tricks up his sleeve, and he poked the ball into the net with his back heel. Julio Enciso sealed the points in added time with a classy solo goal which left Gary O'Neil and his Cherries left to ponder the realities of a relegation fight.
