K’Ogalo are under pressure this season to reclaim the league title after losing to Kenya Police FC in the 2024/25 season, a campaign they also lost the Mozzart Bet Cup final to Nairobi United.
The 21-team league champions also suffered a 1-0 loss to Bidco United in their season opener, before beating Sofapaka in their second match, a result Onyango is banking on to fuel victory against KCB.

A clean win as we pick our first win of the season after two games. Good win, good performance. One match at a time, we go again next weekend.

“It will not be an easy match. We know our opponents are good, have won two matches, but we are prepared for them because I believe that winning our first match has brought confidence in the team,” said Onyango
The Harambee Stars winger is also banking on the team’s preparations to secure their second win of the season.
“So far so good. We have prepared well for the upcoming match, and I believe we will do our best to emerge victorious in the match,” he added.
Gor Mahia fans have shown and expressed their impatience this season after seeing their team crumble to a trophyless season in 2024/25.
As expressed through various social media platforms, the fans said that they will be putting the team to account for every poor performance this season, noting that patience is what cost the team last season.
Missing out on CAF interclub continental football last season led to the dismissal of the entire technical bench, led by former coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno.
In his place, Kenyan giants hired Ghanaian Charles Akonnor, who joined together with his backroom staff including the assistant coach, goalkeeper trainer and video analyst.
The former Black Stars midfielder also signed two forwards; Ebenzar Adukwam and George Amonoo from his native country.
