The first serious offer made by a club to sign the talented striker—in this case, Newcastle before Manchester United
Newcastle are making a strong push to finalize a club-record transfer for Benjamin Sesko, aiming to pay at least 90 million to RB Leipzig, encouraged by indications that the striker is keen to join them.
It remains unclear what messages Sesko’s representatives have conveyed to Manchester United, who are also interested in the 22-year-old, with insiders emphasizing that multiple outcomes are still on the table.

Nevertheless, Newcastle are eager to swiftly reach an agreement with Leipzig, especially after the Bundesliga club requested negotiations over the structure of an initial 90 million offer submitted over the weekend. Sesko is the Magpies' primary attacking target, and there’s a clear urgency to fast-track the deal, particularly after being informed on Monday of the player’s willingness to sign.
Manchester United’s pursuit continues, and it was believed last week that Old Trafford was Sesko’s preferred destination, but unlike Newcastle, they haven’t made a formal proposal yet.
The Magpies hope for clarity within the next 24 hours as they aim to secure a striker ahead of their season opener against Aston Villa in just over a week.
Meanwhile, Alexander Isak remains set on joining Liverpool, but the Premier League champions are expected to only make a new bid once Newcastle have arranged a replacement for the Swedish forward.
