Back in 2019, Divock Origi was in seventh heaven, having the time of his life. He won the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool and scored a brace in an unbelievable Reds' semi-final comeback against Barcelona as well as in the grand final against Tottenham.

However, six years later, his career has gone extremely south. Namely, he is still officially an AC Milan player, though he made his last appearance with the Rossoneri on May 16, 2023, in the UCL semi-final return leg against Inter Milan, when he spent a quarter of an hour on the pitch, entering from the bench.

Given that they weren't satisfied with the Belgian of Kenyan descent at San Siro, they sent him on loan to Nottingham Forest last season, but Origi failed to shine there either, playing his last game with the Trees on April 21, 2024, against Everton, when he clocked 11 minutes.

Since then, he hasn't played a single game. Moreover, he's been moved to Milan's U-23 team once he returned from the loan in England and hasn't trained with the senior squad since.

Origi could undoubtedly find consolation in the money, as he receives over €300,000 per month (€4 million per year), but he would certainly like to play more. However, according to CalcioMercato.com, the forward has rejected each Rossoneri's proposal to resolve the situation.

The 29-year-old has allegedly rejected loan offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, probably because of his bad experience with Nottingham. Yet, the biggest issue is that his deal with Milan expires only in June 2026. If he doesn't find common ground with the club, he could end up spending more than two years without playing, which could seriously jeopardize his career.
