Poor Joan Jordan. He must have felt like he was back at elementary school, doing the maths test

Despite millions that turned this beautiful game into a super lucrative business, top football still occasionally finds ways to make us laugh like we're watching some excellent comedy.

Lately, those finest football 'comedies' tend to evolve around omnipresent coaching notes that tacticians send to their players via subs. Recently, during the FIFA World Cup, we wrote about the hand-written instructions that the Denmark manager sent to his players in the do-or-die tie against Australia, but the Socceroos got a hold of it and used it to win.

Last night, another cheat sheet went viral, only this time in the La Liga tie between Barcelona and Sevilla. The visitors' coach Jorge Sampaoli used Luis Ocampos - who came in as a sub in the second half - as a mailman to deliver the note to Sevilla's midfielder Joan Jordan.

And we can't crack Sampaoli's cheat sheet, but - and that's where this comedy unfolds into brilliance - nor did Jordan.

The puzzled player stared at the paper, trying to figure out what his gaffer wanted of him and his teammates, but for two long minutes, he just couldn't resolve the issue.

The witty society of social networks grabbed this story instantly and made some exquisite practical jokes about it. So, what do you reckon Sampaoli wrote that Jordan simply couldn't understand?
