The Riyadh club experienced a collapse at the end of the transfer window

Al Nassr has been more than eager in this transfer window, almost becoming the club most mentioned when it comes to new signings. There was a lot of buzz around the potential signing of Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, but towards the end of the negotiations, the Saudi team decided against the Nigerian and chose to go for Colombian striker John Duran from Aston Villa.

However, if you thought that was the end for Al Nassr in this January transfer window, you were gravely mistaken. Since the transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes today, the team coached by Stefano Pioli is pushing hard for more reinforcements.

Possibly due to their past collaboration at Milan, they initiated talks to bring in Rafael Leao. According to media reports, the Saudis were willing to offer between 70 to 85 million euros for the Portuguese winger. However, the Italian club was firm in their intention not to sell the talented 25-year-old player, and the negotiations were cut short

That you can not buy literally everything with your money, Al Nassr learned from Milan and then from Brighton. They were offering 95 milions for Kaoru Mitoma, but Brighton have no dilemma about the answer. Just like the Italians, the English club was direct and immediately turned down the offer for the 27-year-old Japanese player.

After this failed transfer, the current third-placed team in the Saudi Pro League club’s leadership decided to cease further transfer activities for the rest of the window in their country, at least until the end of the day. However, based on previous moves by Al Nassr, it’s best to wait for the official closure of the transfer window.
