Ouma says he wants to play for the 3rd most successful club Kenya and hopes it comes sooner.

Western Stima midfielder Rodgers Ouma has revealed his unending love for Tusker FC and hopes to turn out for the Brewers in the near future.

Ouma has established himself at Stima and despite his young age, he is now a key player for the Abdalla Juma coached outfit. He has scored a goal and assisted two and is reportedly on the radar of several top-flight teams.

The youngster however wants to don the black and yellow jersey of the Robert Matano-coached team. He says he has harbored the dream from secondary school and hopes to fulfill it in the future.

Tusker is the team I have always dreamt of joining since I was in high school and I hope that I will get that opportunity to join the team someday. It is difficult to explain exactly why but I just love the team and I am working hard so that in the future I realize that dream,” he told Mozzart Sport.

The player also spoke of his admiration for Spanish giants FC Barcelona, a side that he also dreams of representing.

Locally I think Tusker is the only side that appeals to me. Internationally it’s Barcelona because I am a great fan of passing and possession football and their team that had Iniesta and Xavi was arguably one of the best teams in the history of football in my opinion,” he added.

However, before making a move away from the Kisumu-based, Ouma has a small matter of ensuring that his team is not relegated from the FKF Premier League this season.

“We are not safe in the league and my focus right now is to help the team that gave me a chance while I was still in school. I believe it’s just a matter of time before we move away from the relegation area. We have been playing well but small mistakes have kept us in that red zone. We are all motivated and determined to lift the team from the relegation zone and I believe that it’s just a matter of time before we move up in the FKF Premier League table,” he concluded.

Stima was set to play Nzoia Sugar on Saturday but football activities have since been suspended in Kisumu. They will now play Tusker FC next week in Nairobi.
