Former Arsenal right-back will be in charge of Africa's talent development at FIFA

They were essential ingredient of that Invincibles saga at Highbury, and the question is could they play it again at FIFA?

We sure hope so, since the all-Gunners axis Arsene Wenger - Lauren Bisan-Etame is established again, only this time for the sake of African football.

Lauren is Wenger's 'new signing' and will work as FIFA's new technical expert for talent development, with the task of increasing the competitive level of the African continent.

Former Cameroonian player will try to serve as a sort of a bridge between Europe and Africa. He will work under the command of Wenger - now the head of global football development at FIFA - with whom he successfully cooperated during seven years with the Gunners (from 2000 to 2007).

Lauren won two Premier League titles, four FA Cup and three Community Shields with The Invincibles, Olympic gold and two African Cup of Nations with Cameroon, and Spanish Super Cup with Mallorca.

"I am assuming this position with the greatest of illusions. It is a source of pride and also a great responsibility to be part of the FIFA family. I will do my best to give back to football all that it gave me and make it grow this sport worldwide. I am sure that, if we take the appropriate steps, we can make it grow even more and lay the foundations for the future, "he said.
