Liverpool coach admitted the current situation is a difficult one
What's going on with Liverpool? Not even a quarter of the Premier League has passed, only nine rounds and Jurgen Klopp's company is already 14 points behind the leader Arsenal. The defeat in London against the Gunners (2:3) was painful for the German tactician.

„We’re not in the title race. Do I have deeper concerns? Yes, of course, I am not happy. How can I be?“ said Klopp just after the match.
Reds boss questioned the referee's decision to award a penalty after Thiago Alcantara's kick on Brazilian Gabriel Jesus, after which Saka set up the final 3:2 for this season's great Gunners. In the first half, there was a questionable situation, when there was no penalty after Gabriel’s handball.
„He thought immediately it’s a penalty which is interesting but it’s his decision. VAR had a look at it and thought it was a penalty as well. So if two refs think the same, it’s the truth we have to live with. If there was contact - and I’m not sure there was - it might have been soft contact. But the player was on both feet and then down. That’s an indication that something might have been made up“ said Klopp.
Liverpool came from behind both times but eventually couldn’t equalize for the third time and at least secure a draw. To make things worse, Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz both got hurt and had to leave the game.
„We made decisive mistakes for all three goals. When you knock down with your backside what you built with your hands, that is really not helpful and that is what we did today. Diaz’s injury has something to do with the knee, not good… I have no idea about the extent. Alexander-Arnold’s twisted ankle is bad as well. He was in too much pain and it started swelling immediately“explained Klopp.
