
Wanyama's Montréal extend torrid start as Masud nets in Morocco

Masud broke his goal drought for DifaĂ¢ as Wanyama's MontrĂ©al lost their third game in a row.
Kenyan international Masud Juma returned to the score sheet for DifaĂ¢ Hassani El Jadidi in the 3-1 win over Rapide Oued Zem while Victor Wanyama lasted 90 minutes for Club de Foot MontrĂ©al in the 4-1 drubbing at the hands of New York City FC.

The former Kariobangi Sharks forward was handed another start and chipped in with a goal as DifaĂ¢ Hassani El Jadidi run out 3-1 winners against Rapide Oued Zem in the Moroccan Throne Cup.
DifaĂ¢ went ahead in the 26th minute when Abdelfettah Hadraf broke the deadlock in the Round of 16 clash of the Cup game.
Masud finally broke his goal drought for the club with his season plagued by an injury as he pounced on a shot from outside the 18-yard area that cannoned off the woodwork to fire the ball home in the 37th minute.
DifaĂ¢ sealed the tie in the 68th minute when Maati Tamaiazou scored the insurance goal but Mohammed Fikri netted the consolation goal for Rapide Oued two minutes later as DifaĂ¢ progressed to the Cup quarters.

Former Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama was trusted with another starting berth as his Club de Foot Montréal side were hammered 4-1 by New York City FC in the Major Soccer League (MLS).

Montréal have had a torrid start to the season losing three of their opening games with Alexander Callens needing just four minutes to open the scoring.
Santiago Rodriguez doubled New York’s lead in the 20th minute when he pounced on a loose ball from Wanyama to fire the ball into the top corner.
Zachary Brault-Guillard pulled one back for Montréal in the 52nd minute when he got to the end of a Djordje Mihailovic pass across the face of goal.

Talles Magno restored New York's two-goal cushion four minutes after the hour mark, nodding in a cross from close range.
Thiago Andrade drilled the final nail in Montréal’s coffin as his shot from just inside the box was too strong for Sebastian Breza in goal.
