Dhillon and Tobias were late substitutes as Wanyama and Mayaka started for their respective teams.

Kenyan international Victor Wanyama lasted the entire game as Club de Foot Montreal went down 2-0 to Columbus Crew as his compatriot Philip Mayaka also clocked 90 minutes for Colorado Springs.

Wanyama

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder returned back to the starting lineup after missing the last clash against HFX Wanderers but could not inspire Club de Foot Montreal to a win as they lost 2-0 to Columbus Crew in the Major Soccer League (MLS).

Wanyama was once again trusted with the armband but just when Montreal thought they were going into the halftime break level, Gyasi Zardes scored one minute to the break.

Zardes guided Derick Burckley Etienne’s pinpoint cross into the net after a lightning-quick counter-attack from Columbus Crew.

The USA forward was on hand to bag his brace two minutes after the hour mark as he drove into the edge of the box to unleash a thunderbolt that found the back of the net.

Montreal grabbed their consolation goal in the second minute of stoppage time as Rommel Quioto turned the ball into the net from the goal line after Lassi Lappalainen’s shot cannoned off the upright.

Mayaka

The former St. Anthony's Boys Kitale skipper also clocked 90 minutes for Colorado Springs as they thumped Austin Bold 3-1 in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship.

It took just eight minutes for Springs to open the scoring through Deshane Beckford who nodded in Sebastian Anderson’s cross.

Austin Bold however pulled one back nine minutes later through Xavier Baez who fired in a sublime low freekick that went under the wall that opted to jump.

Mayaka was handed a yellow card in the 19th minute but they went into the break with a lead after Hadji Barry scored his 24th goal of the season in just 26 games.

Andre Lewis put the game to bed four minutes from time as he capitalized on a defensive mix up from the Austin Bold backline to dink the ball past the onrushing keeper.

Tobias Otieno

Former Gor Mahia midfielder was handed the final 13 minutes of the game as Union Omaha fell 1-0 to Tuson in the United Soccer League (USL) League One.

A seventh-minute goal from Charlie Dennis was enough to settle the tie as Tobias came on for Devin Boyce in the 77th minute.

Justin Dhillon

The forward came on as a 78th-minute substitute as his San Antionio side went down 1-0 to New Mexico in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship.

Dhillon was brought in 12 minutes from time but New Mexico grabbed the winner in the 84th minute through Chris Wehan.
