Kenyan international Victor Wanyama skippered Club de Foot Montreal to victory as Joseph Okumu suffered defeat with KAA Gent while Bruce Kamau's OFI Crete picked a point in a six goal thriller.
Victor Wanyama
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama clocked 90 minutes as his Club de Foot Montreal fastened their grip on a Major Soccer League (MLS) Playoffs berth following their 2-0 win over Chicago Fire.
The first half witnessed little goalmouth action as Chicago Fire opted to defend and arrest their slump with their tactic effective as both teams went into the interval locked in a barren draw.

The game however burst into life at the stroke of the hour mark when Romell Quioto nestled the back of the net with his first time finish after a neat through ball by Djordje Mihailovic.
The three points were secured courtesy of an own goal by Carlos Teran who turned the ball into his own net when trying to clear a pass across the face of goal from Mathieu Choiniere.
Joseph Okumu
Kenyan international Joseph Okumu started for KAA Gent as they suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of K.V. Kortrijk in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
A Faiz Selemanie penalty in the ninth minute was all that Kortrijk needed to win the clash with Roman Bezus missing a spot kick three minutes after the resumption of the second half that would have leveled things for Gent.

The disastrous start to the season for Gent continues as they now hover perilously close to the relegation places as they are only separated by the drop zone courtesy of a better goal difference.
Tobias Otieno
Former Gor Mahia midfielder Tobias Otieno came on as a second half substitute as his Union Omaha side picked up a point against North Texas in the United Soccer League (USL) League One.

Damia Viader opened the scoring for Omaha just after 11 minutes of play with Kalil Elmedkhar restoring parity for Texas seven minutes later.
Texas went ahead for the first time in the game when found the back of the net in the 53rd minute but Evan Conway rescued a point for Omaha nine minutes from time.
Bruce Kamau
Kenyan midfielder Bruce Kamau lasted the full 90 minutes as his OFI Crete side settled for a point in the six goal thriller against AEK Athens in the Greek Super League.
Kamau is eligible for Harambee Stars having never represented the Australia senior side and was born in the country before relocating to Australia back in 1999.

Sergio Araujo and Steven Zuber handed AEK a healthy first half lead but the goals were sandwiched by a Levi Garcia's red card in the 36th minute as AEK went into the break a man down.
Karim Ansarifard scored four minutes after the hour mark to hand AEK a healthy lead but OFI rallied from behind with Juan Neira scoring a brace and Praxitelis Vouros earning them a point in the second minute of stoppage time.
There has been speculation of Kamau being handed his maiden call up to the Australian National team but that is yet to happen.
Harrison Mwendwa
Former AFC Leopards midfielder Harrison Mwendwa started as his Kabwe Warriors side was bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup by Malagasy side Centre de Formation de Football Andoharanofotsy (CFFA).
A goal in either half was enough to see CFFA proceed to the Second Round of the competition with Prince Mumba bagging the consolation goal for Warriors in the 26th minute.
