The Saints' first two custodians, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Matvey Safonov, are so-called "birthday twins," as they were born on the exact same date - February 25, 1999!
Everyone has at least once Googled their date of birth to find out with which celebrities they share a birthday. But what would you say if your "birthday twin" - a person born on the exact same date as you - was your colleague working in the same position? That would be odd, right?
Well, as always, football imitates life, so there is a perfect example of this phenomenon, coming from France, from the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain. Namely, the Saints' first two custodians, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Matvey Safonov, were born on the exact same date - February 25, 1999!

When two boys were born in two cities around 2000 km apart, Castellammare di Stabia (Italy) and Krasnodar (Russia), no one could have thought that they'd defend the net of one of the European giants at the same time.
So, if you dream of becoming a PSG goalkeeper, we're sorry to inform you that you don't stand a chance if you weren't born on this "holy date."
Jokes aside, the "birthday twins case" in Paris was just a coincidence, but it will be interesting to see who'll start between the PSG's posts tonight against Nice (21.45). Donnarumma has logically been Luis Enrique's first choice, but since the Saints have already secured the Ligue 1 title and with the UCL semi-final against Arsenal coming shortly (next Tuesday), Safonov might get a chance to start tonight.
