Vini gets reason to smile, as Madrid win in style

Despite a rather turbulent period at the club, the Brazilian recorded a goal and an assist in Los Blancos' crushing 4-1 victory over Levante
He might be on the verge of departure from Santiago Bernabeu. His place in Xabi Alonso's starting lineup may not be as guaranteed as it was under Carlo Ancelotti, but one thing is as certain as ever - Vinicius Jr knows how to play football and is keen on showing it any time he can.
One such occasion was last night at Estadio Ciutat de Valencia, where Vini spilt magic against Levante, breaking the opponent in the first 45 minutes with a goal and an assist for Franco Mastantuono.
The situation from the 28th minute was particularly memorable, as the Brazilian found the net with a beautiful trivela, as if Ricardo Quaresma's spirit had entered him. Ten minutes later, when the 18-year-old newcomer from Argentina scored his maiden goal with Madrid, everyone in Valencia knew who'd win the game.
Levante did try to bounce back, scoring a - as it turned out - consolation goal over the Cameroonian Etta Eyong in the 54th minute, but Kylian Mbappe shortly crushed their hopes.
The Frenchman performed a two-minute blitzkrieg on his own, bagging a brace between the 64th and 66th minutes. First, he was impeccable from the spot, scoring with the popular rabona, and then converted Arda Guler's timely pass into Madrid's fourth goal.
Los Blancos' perfect La Liga form continued, as they recorded sixth triumph in as many matches this season, though the real challenge for them will come in the next round, when they'll face their city rivals Atletico Madrid on the road (Saturday, 17.15).
