Former Stima defender offering employment to more than ten youths through his business
Despite being out of action for almost two years, former Western Stima centre back Vincent Omumbo insists that he is far from calling it a day.
Omumbo was last involved in active football in 2019 while attached to Stima but he has since taken a break, apparently to concentrate on his beverage-cum entertainment business.
The stocky defender who joined Kisumu All Stars last year but did not feature in any of their matches owns Bombay Club in Kisumu said he was angling to stage a comeback but remained tight-lipped on whether he had received offers.

The former Tusker man, who hinted of transitioning into coaching once he retires said he was keeping fit in his compound, eager to return to football and accomplish his targets.
"It's true I have not played competitive football for almost three seasons but I have not retired from the game. I took a break to attend to my business but I will be back soon. I may return as a footballer or a fitness trainer depending on how my body will react to intense training," he said.
Omumbo in the meantime added his voice in the call to footballers and the rest of sportsmen drawn from the other disciplines to delve into business while active.
The former Thika United defender revealed that through his business, he had managed to guarantee his family a decent lifestyle and further, he had employed thirteen youths as waiters and security guards.

"I have created employment to a number of youths through the business. I have also built myself a modern house courtesy of the proceeds from the business. I have never lacked from the time I decided to take a break and I feel this is the route sportsmen should take. They shouldn't put all their eggs in one basket, " he added.
