Axel Disasi moves to Birmingham on a six-month loan from Stamford Bridge
Aston Villa have been quiet for weeks and then, in the dying minutes, became one of the biggest winners in the January Transfer Window! On a deadline day, the Villans added Marcus Rashford from Man United, former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain winger Marco Asensio, and, as a "cherry on top," the centre-back from Chelsea - Axel Disasi.

The Frenchman's departure from Stamford Bridge was imminent, as the Blues had been looking for a loan deal for some time. The only questionable thing was where Disasi would end up. Tottenham were Aston Villa's fiercest competition for the defender's signature, but the player's ultimate choice was Unai Emery's team.
The Villans paid a £5 million loan fee to Chelsea, while the Blues included a (nowadays pretty common) clause in the deal that forbids Disasi to play against them. Hence, the Frenchman will miss the clash between Villa and Chelsea on February 22 and the FA Cup duel against Spurs (next Sunday) since he has already worn the Blues' jersey in the competition. So, his eventual debut could come on February 15, at Villa Park against Ipswich.
