28 goals were scored in the six matches played on Saturday and Sunday

FKF Women Premier League charged on over the weekend and witnessed a total of 28 goals scored across the six matches that were played on Saturday and Sunday in different venues.

Vihiga Queens continued their lead at the top, extending it to five points with their 8-1 drubbing over Wadadia at Mumias Complex on Saturday after Gaspo Women were held to a one-all draw by Ulinzi Starlets the same day.

The game, the highest-scoring match for the weekend, saw Joan Nabirye, Maurine Achieng, Topister Sifuma, and Christine Nafula all grab braces for the three-time champions as Chitechi Wanga scored Wadadia's consolation.

Gaspo remain second with 17 points as Ulinzi are 5th with 15 points.

Debutants Bunyore Starlets recorded their fourth win of the season as they beat their fellow newbies Kangemi Ladies to compound their woes for the season and left them at the bottom of the log with only three points from only one win in the nine matches they have played.

On Sunday, Thika Queens handed Kisumu All Starlets their sixth defeat of the season as they trounced 4-0 over the Kisumu-based side at their own backyard to keep their third spot on the log while leaving All Starlets second from bottom.

In an attempt to keep up with the chasing pack, Trans Nzoia Falcons picked a vital 5-0 away win as they overshadowed Kayole Starlets in Nairobi, with Nakuru City Queens seeing off Zetech Sparks 4-1 in the other match of the day.
