Van Basten spitting fire: Ajax's players are terrible, everything is upside down

The legendary Dutchman held nothing back...
There is all-out chaos in Ajax. The problems are not from yesterday; they have been going on for a long time. A full bank account does not help either; in fact, it is one of the causes of the dire situation. Because the best players have been sold, and adequate replacements have not been signed. Or the players that the club thought they were, turned out to be failures.
Amsterdammers wander in the dark, not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Wherever they go - a dead end. The crisis has turned into a permanent state, the anger of the fans has been drawn, but also of the club legends. Marco van Basten started spitting fire when riots broke out at the game with Feyenoord and later spilled into the street. All of that upset him, and now he is lashing out at the club's management and players.
The legendary Dutchman spared no one.
"I don't see anything changing soon. The players are at a terrible level, they are not at what is needed for Ajax. Usually you have players that others can rely on, now that's not the case, you don't have any. It is the young players who have to solve the problems. Everything is upside down," said van Basten.
Ajax have two points more than the last-placed Utrecht; since the start of the season they have registered only one victory. And while others like Ruud Gullit are trying to find a bright spot, everything is dark for van Basten. So are the performances of the teenager Silvano Vos.
"I do not share the opinion (with Rudd). I saw him walking yesterday, he's not doing anything special either. Who is the leader?! Bergweijn has a problem with himself. Sutalo doesn't speak a word of English or Dutch."
Defense is a lost cause...
"When they start to defend themselves, they accumulate mistakes. One after another. All defenders would rather not have the ball in their possession, they can't do anything defensively either," said Van Basten and emphasized that he does not blame coach Maurice Steijn for anything:
"It wasn't good last year either, it has to do with the quality of the players."
One can't remember when the first team did this bad in the Dutch championship, and the young team is not doing great either. They are only 18th in the second tier of the competition and according to Marco van Basten it has to do with a lack of vision.
"At the top, things are completely wrong. They've been asleep and snoring for two years, now it's a mess everywhere," van Basten concluded.
