If the rumours of Halilhodzic's dismissal prove to be correct, this will be the third time he loses his job after qualifying for WC

Vahid Halilhodzic's tumultuous relationship with Morocco is reaching a climax six months before their maiden WC game in Qatar.

The fact the Atlas Lions are the fourth national team he has managed to take to the world's most prestigious tournament doesn't mean Vaha will make his only second WC appearance. Yes, you've read it all right - the Bosnian coach was sacked two times already after qualifying for World Cup with Ivory Coast and Japan.

His bad-tempered personality led Halilhodzic into arguments and clashes with the team's top stars, Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui.

On Tuesday morning, some Moroccan media reported the Moroccan Football Association sacked him, but they denied those pieces of information soon after.

"We want to deny the information published by some media that Mr. Halilhodzic was fired. We want to clearly say that this is not true and that he is still our coach.

"We did not have any meeting with him because he is still on vacation and is returning to Morocco during the week," they said in a statement.

Few, however, believe that after so much public pressure, Vaha will stay in the dugout for the World Cup in Qatar. Moreover, the media claim that it is already known who is the first pick for his replacement - famous Portuguese boss Andre Villas-Boas, the former Chelsea manager.

The Portuguese tactician is a free agent at the moment and has been out of the business ever since he broke up with Marseille last year. Moreover, he enjoyed a short and exciting episode as a driver in the last edition of the Dakar rally.
