Kenya host the Bright Stars on Tuesday at Kasarani Stadium

Kenya Police midfielder Tyson Otieno trained with Harambee Stars on Saturday evening as the team continued preparations for the upcoming friendly match against South Sudan.

Kenya will host the Bright Stars at the Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday in what will be the fifth encounter between the two sides.

Otieno was not named in the initial squad named by coach Engin Firat and only linked up with the team on Saturday after the Stars jetted back from Qatar.

His omission in the recent call-ups was a bone of contention given his form in the past season with Kariobangi Sharks, a showing that saw him win the heart of Kenya Police who did not hesitate to sign him.

The inclusion of Tyson takes Kenya Police's tally in the national team to three, the others being Patrick Matasi and Aboud Omar, the most by any Football Kenya Federation Premier League team currently.

Also in the team that trained on Saturday under the lights was Kariobangi Sharks teenage sensation Stanley Wilson who missed the trip to Qatar.

Just like Otieno, Wilson was not included in the initial provisional squad but was a late inclusion after a dazzling performance in a league match against Tusker FC at Ruaraka Grounds, a match in which the Turkish tactician was in attendance.

David Ochieng, Austin Odhiambo, and Abdallah Hassan did not make the traveling party.to Doha, Qatar although the Bandari FC winger trained with the national team on Sunday morning.
