The Brewers face Posta Rangers in their final game of the season.

Reigning league champions Tusker FC are just a victory away from retaining their Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) title following their 2-0 win over Bidco United in a game staged at the Ruraka Grounds on Sunday 5 June.

The Brewers had Lawrence Luvanda who is fresh from shaking off an injury and Rodgers Ouma to thank for sealing the three points against a stubborn Bidco United who offered a stern resistance in the opening hour of the game.

Robert Matano went into the game needing nothing short of three points with Kakamega Homeboyz breathing down their necks and were under pressure after FC Talanta handed a walkover against the Kakamega-based side which gave them three easy points.

The Tusker win opens up a three-point gap at the summit of the log momentarily with the FKF Transition Committee yet to ratify the walk-over dished out by FC Talanta after which both teams will be level on points heading into the final game of the season.

Tusker were quickly off the blocks with Charles Momanyi rattling the woodwork inside two minutes from a Daniel Sakari cross but they had the former Gor Mahia defender to thank for going into the break level after his goal-line clearance from an Alex Sunga effort.

Rodgers Ouma who had just been introduced did not take long to announce himself to the Brewers faithful as he tapped home from a Lawrence Luvanda effort that cannoned off the woodwork after a freekick from Isaac Kipyegon in the 65th minute.

Lawrence Luvanda assured all three points for Tusker FC 10 minutes later after a give and take pass with Jackson Macharia as the former Vihiga United midfielder curled home his effort.

Tusker held on for the win to take the title race down to the wire.
