This is the first time the Tusker marksman has been called up to the senior Tanzanian side
Tusker FC striker Ibrahim Joshua has already linked up with his Tanzanian national team counterparts for the very first time after being called up to the Taifa Stars set up ahead of the upcoming FIFA international break.
Last week, the Tanzanian import was included in a 28-man list of players who have been called to play two international friendly matches against the Central African Republic (CAR) and Sudan over the next two weeks.

The maiden call up to the senior Tanzanian set up was handed to the player after his impressive start to life in the Kenyan league where he has already scored eight goals in his first season since signing from Tanzanian outfit Ken Gold FC at the start of the 2021/2022 season.
In pictures posted by the Tanzanian national team, Joshua is captured taking part in a training session ahead of their first friendly match against CAR on Wednesday 23 March 2022.
“National Team Taifa Stars continue training at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium to prepare for the friendly matches on the FIFA calendar to be held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium,” Tanzania Football Federation posted.
In a recent interview on Mozzart Sport, the player could not hide his euphoria as he termed the call up a dream come true for him.
“I am very grateful for this opportunity to be called up by Taifa Stars and I must thank God for this step in my career. This is the very first time receiving it and it is like my goals are being achieved one step at a time. Growing up, I always had this objective of playing for the team and it is like a dream come true. For that I am extremely happy about it. Now it is just to use the opportunity I have been given,” the striker said.
