Tusker eager to heal FKFPL title heartbreak by winning the Mozzart Bet Cup - Stewart Omondi

Tusker winger Stewart Omondi says the painful league title loss will not affect them psychologically heading to the Mozzart Bet Cup final that, is set for Saturday at Kasarani Stadium.

The club’s bid for double glory this season went up in the air last weekend after watching Gor Mahia clinch the league title by the slightest of margins.

However, all is not lost for Tusker as they have a chance to celebrate a title in the cup final against Kakamega Homeboyz.

The final, comes days after the disappointing league title loss but the heartbreak, will not affect the team according to Omondi.

Although the former Vihiga United man admitted that losing the league crown by a point was painful, he remained confident that, the team will have something to celebrate and wipe tears on Saturday.

“The loss will affect us positively contrary to what many think. We only have one option left and we have to get it right and qualify for continental football,” he said.

“It is painful to fall in the last minute but we have picked our lessons. We move forward stronger,” he added
