Brewers have held talks with George Maina in the search for their next assistant coach.
Tusker FC are set to soon unveil their next assistant manager after holding talks with former Naivas FC head coach Goerge Maina.
The position was left vacant after Charles Okere was appointed the new Harambee Starlets head coach, filling in the void left by David Ouma who later joined Sofapaka as their new Sporting Director.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Tusker FC Chairman Daniel Aduda admitted that they held talks with Maina but he is yet to sign a contract with the club.
“We held talks with Maina but nothing is formal yet, we at Tusker give the head coach the freedom to handpick his assistant,”
“The rumours flying around could be either from him (Maina) or from Matano, we are waiting for word from the head coach to begin the hiring process,” said Ouma.

Aduda also confirmed that Okere left his role as the assistant coach immediately after being tasked with taking charge of Starlets.
Maina knows Tusker like the back of hands after turning out for the club since 1994 and hanged his boots back in 2001.
He was immediately tasked with taking charge of Tusker Youth and has been in and out of the club’s management ever since.
Back in 2012, Maina was appointed the interim coach after Tusker parted ways with head coach Sammy Pamzo Omollo.
