Tuchel to receive 22 billion Ksh from Abramovic in the upcoming transfer window

Potential targets are Marco Verratti, Niklas Sule, Lukaku or Harry Kane
Thomas Tuchel is having a great season at Chelsea at will be awarded in June. After stabilizing the squad since he took over Frank Lampard, the German tactician is on a steady course to secure the Champions League spot, and has a chance to win the competition if he beats Manchester City in the final. He can win one domestic trophy either, since he is in the FA Cup finals, where Chelsea is up against Leicester. And he has done that with the squad inherited from Lampard.
So now, Tuchel is bound to choose a number of players for the next season. And Roman Abramovic will provide a sizeable transfer kitty of around 22 billion Ksh. It’s a pretty nice sum, considering he gave Lampard around 38 billion Ksh last year, for which Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Hakim Ziyech were bought.
The only area of need which is clearly visible is attack. Chelsea needs to score more goals an so far, last years big signing Timo Werner managed only 12 goals in 48 appearances. After selling Tammy Abraham, who is tottally out of favor, and Giroud, who will leave the club in June, that need will be even bigger. Harry Kane or Romelu Lukaku are currently being discussed, but Erling Haaland shouldn’t be counted out so easily.
Tuchel himself doesn’t want to spoil the great atmosphere in the club ahead of crucial matches in the Premier League, FA Cup and the Champions League, so he didn’t want to talk about it.
„Transfer periods can be mood breakers. At Chelsea it has been only about coaching. No second thoughts about bringing somebody in or letting somebody go. A big part of my personality is on coaching and guiding my team and pushing it to the limit. I have zero ambition to ruin this atmosphere for myself or anybody else. Do we have some ideas how to improve the squad? Yes, but will we fight about it? No. We will discuss it and first of all we will finish this season“ said Tuchel before the Arsenal match.
But, as Goal. com reports, he is after one of his former players Marco Verratti. At 28, the Italian has spent his most productive years at PSG, winning 7 titles with the Parisians, and he would jump at the opportunity to play in the Premier League. He is considered one of the top technical central midfielders, but it seems odd that Tuchel want’s to spend money on his most covered area – midfield. He probably plans to sell a player (or two) in the middle of the park to make room for Veratti.
As for defense, with the aging Thiago Silva (36), Niklas Sule from Bayern Munich seems as the ideal replacement, as it was suggested in the English media, but the question remains, will the Bavarians be willing to let go of the third regular starter in their defense, after they already lost Alaba and Boateng on a free transfer?
