Ligue 1 match in Nice was suspended during the second half with OGC Nice leading 1-0 against Marseille
Nice ultras surged onto the pitch to confront Olympic de Marseille players after getting aggravated by Dimitri Payet. The former France international was hit by a bottle that originated from Nice's fans. He wouldn't keep quiet and furiously threw it back in the stand to kick off serious trouble at Allianz Riviere stadium.

Furious fans broke down the fences and surged past helpless stewards and onto the pitch with players from both teams trying to calm them down. The ugly scenes went on for over 30 minutes with even the visiting team's coach Jorge Sampaoli losing the plot and asking a few Nice fans to fight them.

Police officers and stewards had a busy night indeed as the referee ordered the players to return to changing rooms. The match was suspended.
