We bring you a couple of interesting categories in the just finished transfer window
The curtain has come down on the richest transfer window in the history of football. Never has so much money been spent, and as usual, the driving force behind all major events was the English, that is, the Premier League players. Europe’s most exciting and profitable league has spent a whopping 2.2 billion euros on new signings. The next in line is Italian Serie A with a measly 750 million, followed by the French league (thanks to PSG) with 558 million. La Liga and the Germans have been very modest, even with all of Barcelona’s and Bayern’s signings, and spent 510 and 485 million.

But when it comes to the most profitable leagues, which basically means a league that is in profit after all the money has been earned and spent, the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A are not even in the Top 10. Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are in the 7th and 8th place, while Portugal dominates (261 million euros), followed by Netherlands (187) and Championship (129).
When it comes to the biggest spenders among European clubs, 7 out of 10 clubs come from the Premier League and Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham are in the top 3, while only Barcelona, PSG and Bayern made it t to the Top 10 from the other leagues. Here are a few of the most interesting categories where clubs and leagues are ranked by spending, earnings, and net profit. There is, of course, a list of the biggest deals this summer.
