Tottenham's Malian seen inhaling illegal 'laughing gas' - again!

A year after he was punished for the same actions, Yves Bissouma repeated the offence, and now faces some severe consequences

Some people never learn. Even when one does what he loves, earns enormous amounts of money, and lives the life out of dreams, for some reason, they find a way to spoil everything as if some invisible force pushes them towards destruction.

Yves Bissouma is one of those people.

A year ago, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was punished by the then-manager Ange Postecoglou with a one-game ban for using nitrous oxide, better known as "laughing gas" - a substance that's been illegal in the UK since 2023 and whose usage can entail criminal penalties.

However, apparently, that lesson wasn't enough for the Malian to learn from, as he has recently repeated the offence, and now almost certainly faces more severe consequences.

Namely, The Sun yesterday shared information, including footage of Bissouma inhaling the gas, while the Spurs' spokesman stated that the situation "will be dealt with as an internal matter," according to ESPN.

The 29-year-old has been out of Thomas Frank's squad since May due to a breach of club discipline (lateness) and knee and ankle injuries.

He made his last official appearance for the London side - excluding friendly games - on May 25 against his former team, Brighton. However, after the latest events, it's unclear whether he'll wear the white jersey ever again, especially since he deleted all references to Tottenham from his Instagram account, as ESPN reports.
