Spanish forward Ferran Torres scored an extraordinary goal as Premier League champions enjoyed an entertaining night out in Newcastle

Take a bow, Ferran Torres! The young Spaniard scored a wondergoal for his team in a match that neither side felt pressure, but played for the love of the game. And Torres applied a sublime touch to score one of the prettiest goals we’ve seen all season. City went on to win the game 4-3, but the result never really felt too important as two teams without a worry in the world dished up an entertaining encounter full of comebacks and nice goals.

Manchester City team was given a guard of honour by Newcastle United players as the teams prepared for a match that held no real significance to either team and they all just had fun out on the pitch.

Swedish defender Emil Krafth scored a bullet header to give his team the lead against the run of play, but City rallied to show why they’ve been such a dominant side this season.

Two goals in six minutes from Joao Cancelo and Ferran Torres turned the game in City's favour. Right at the end of the half Nathan Ake brought down Joelinton in the area, the Brazilian stepped up himself and dispatched the penalty.

Joe Willock continued his goalscoring run after the break as he made it five goals in as many games for Newcastle. He was brought down in the area by Kyle Walker and it was the Arsenal boy who placed the ball on the spot. Veteran goalkeeper marked a rare appearance by stopping the spot-kick, but he was still beaten two seconds later as Willock tucked in the rebound.

Another complete turnaround followed, courtesy of talented Mr Torres. The former Valencia forward became the third-youngest City player to bag a Premier League hat-trick - in a space of just two minutes. Two tap-ins for the Spaniard, a hat-trick and Manchester City were 4-3 ahead just four minutes after going behind! That’s what you call entertainment!

Newcastle tried to get into a fistfight with the champions with their guard down and were smacked in the nose by the inspired Ferran Torres and the rest of Pep Guardiola’s world-class squad.
