Timbe features as Vissel Kobe advance to cup round of 16

Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe made an appearance off the bench as his Vissel Kobe side resoundingly thrashed Suzuka Point 4-0 to advance to the round of 16 of the Emperors Cup in Japan in a match played on Wednesday afternoon.
Named in the matchday squad once again, Timbe had to contend with a place in the substitutes bench, and on the 70th minute mark, the tricky former Reading player was called into action as he replaced Yuya Nakasaka with Kobe in firm control of the game with a 3-0 lead.

After a bit of a settling in, Kobe got the ball up and running just on the stroke of the half hour break. 33 year old midfielder Junya Tanaka getting the opening goal of the game in the 29th minute.

Four minutes upon second half's resumption, defender Yuki Koboyashi doubled the lead and gave Kobe some cushion in the game. Tanaka then got his brace, with another goal in the 61st minute to extend the lead to three nil before Timbe's introduction in the 70th minute.
There was still sime time for one more goal as Takuya Yasui proved with a fourth goal in the 90th minute of the game to seal progression to the next round where they are set to take on Tokushima in the last 16.
