Raheem Sterling seems to be a favorite target for burglars – after returning from the 2022 World Cup due to a break-in, he has now defended family with kitchen utensils

Raheem Sterling reportedly faced a terrifying ordeal at home, bravely confronting masked burglars armed with a knife in a desperate attempt to protect his children.

According to Daily Mail Sport, the Chelsea winger—who has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge—was targeted in an attempted break-in on Saturday evening, around 7 p.m., just an hour before the Blues kicked off their Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The incident unfolded at Sterling’s family home, where masked intruders tried to force their way inside. Fortunately, the 30-year-old and his family emerged unharmed after what’s been described as a deeply distressing experience.

Early reports suggested that the culprits fled empty-handed, apparently startled to discover that the house was occupied. However, Daily Mail Sport has since confirmed that Sterling took matters into his own hands—literally—by confronting the burglars with a knife to protect his sons, Thiago (8) and Thai Cruz (6).

It remains unclear whether the assailants assumed Sterling would be at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea’s 3–0 win over Wolves. The England international, capped 82 times for his country, currently resides with his long-term partner, Paige Milian, and their children. He has yet to feature for the club’s first team this season.

A spokesperson for the player stated to Daily Mail Sport: “We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend. We can also confirm that he and his children were present at home at the time.” Chelsea are said to be aware of the situation and are offering full support to their player.

This is not the first time Sterling has faced such trauma. During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he was forced to return to England after his Cobham residence was raided while his family were inside—a chilling echo of this latest incident.
