I still have enough energy, claims the Real Madrid flop
In July 2019, Eden Hazard came to Real Madrid in a transfer worth 115,000,000 euros. The Belgian was supposed to be the new leader of the Royals. However, four years later, after only 76 appearances in the white shirt, Hazard is probably the biggest flop in the history of Real Madrid. But he doesn't seem to care at all.
On Saturday night, after a tribute the Belgian Football Federation paid to him during the half-time break in the match against Austria, Hazard explained what he experienced in the past and what awaits him in the future.
"Honestly, I still don't know. After these three difficult years, I just want to spend time with my family, go on vacation like everyone else...
"It is true that in recent days I have read a lot about myself. And a lot of nonsense.
"I know I'm not giving you the answers you expect but, honestly, I still don't have them. Having said that, I assure you that I am still capable of being a professional footballer, my body can handle it. I have been resting for two or three years, I still have energy," he said.
