Thundering and lightning affected the derby between Real Madrid and Barcelona in New Jersey. After the resume, the Catalans won 2-1
It's not that it counts, but Barcelona have been dominating their archrival, Real Madrid, in those pre-season games for the last three years.
After victories of 1-0 and 3-0 in the previous two years, the Catalans beat Los Blancos for the third year in a row - this time 2-1 in New Jersey.
It will go down in history as probably the longest El Clasico ever since the match was paused early on due to thundering and lightning.

The action resumed after an hour and a half, and Barca youngsters made sure Hansi Flick got important insight into their qualities ahead of the upcoming season.
Veteran Robert Lewandowski set up Pau Victor for the 42nd-minute opener from close range. Ten minutes into the second half, the same kid netted another for his brace and Barca's comfortable 2-0 lead.

Madrid's substitute Nico Paz managed to peg one back near the end for a 2-1 defeat, which didn't trigger too much of Carlo Ancelotti's worries, though.
"Let's not go crazy. They are pre-season games. We are missing eight players. The result is not as important for us as getting the players in good shape," concluded Carletto.
