After a series of controversies he stirred, Barcelona has focused on managing the young forward
Barcelona’s prodigy Lamine Yamal has never shied away from attention — or controversy. Ahead of the much-anticipated El Clasico, he stirred debate with blunt remarks about Real Madrid ("They get preferential treatment and they're always complaining..."), and after the loss to Los Blancos, he found himself back under the microscope.
According to "Sport", the club’s management is increasingly uneasy about Lamine Yamal’s public comments and the growing spotlight on his private life. As a result, both Barcelona and his agent Jorge Mendes have agreed to keep a closer eye on his media appearances and social media behavior going forward.
This approach already had visible consequences. Yamal was scheduled to attend a promotional event for Oppo, the electronics brand he represents as an ambassador, but Barcelona reportedly decided at the last moment to withdraw him from the engagement to limit public exposure — a move the young forward accepted without protest.
🚨 Barcelona are very concerned with Lamine Yamal's reckless statements and the excessive exposure his private life has got recently.

The teenager’s name also made headlines following the fiery Clasico. After Madrid’s 2–1 victory, Dani Carvajal was seen shouting at Yamal, reportedly saying: “You talk too much!” Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham, who scored both goals in the win, took a subtle jab on Instagram, posting: “Words are just empty words. Come on, Madrid – forever!”
On the pitch, Yamal struggled to make an impact, and his recent dip in form hasn’t gone unnoticed in Catalonia. "Sport" reports that club officials want to see him rediscover his spark soon to put the negative noise behind him. T

The 17-year-old hasn’t scored in La Liga since August 31, and with upcoming fixtures against Elche on Sunday and Club Brugge in the Champions League next Wednesday, he’ll have the chance to do just that.
