Arsenal's replacement for the severely injured Gabriel Jesus could allegedly be his fellow countryman and namesake, Igor Jesus
Just after he managed to find the right form, Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus suffered a severe knee injury, leaving Mikel Arteta with few attacking options. However, according to the latest information from London, the Gunners have found a new forward long before the 27-year-old got injured in the first place. And guess what - it's another Jesus!
According to Daily Express, Edu Gaspar, former Arsenal's sporting director and current member of Evangelos Marinakis' crew at Nottingham Forest, had completed the groundwork for signing Brazilian forward Igor Jesus for an estimated price of £30 million before he left for the Trees.

The 23-year-old started his career with Coritiba in his homeland and currently represents Botafogo, the latest Copa Libertadores winners. Nevertheless, he made a name for himself at the United Arab Emirates side Shabab Al-Ahli, where he netted 43 goals in 88 appearances.
Although he didn't transfer that efficiency to his current club (22 games, five goals), Igor Jesus could represent a significant reinforcement and a good investment for Arsenal's future. At the same time, he could be the last Edu's "favour" to his former club.
