The Italian international has handed in an official transfer request
Wilfried Gnonto's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, has expressed frustration towards Leeds United for impeding any transfer negotiations resulting in his client returning to the Premier League. Everton's multiple offers to acquire the 19-year-old talent have been turned down, adding ever more strain to the relationship between Gnonto and the recently-relegated club.

What was once a surprising success story for Elland Road last season has become a more complicated situation in recent weeks. Gnonto's choice to make himself unavailable for selection was met with disappointment from Leeds fans. His subsequent submission of a formal transfer request before the 1-1 draw with West Brom further complicated matters.
Initially, Leeds United regarded Gnonto's absence as an internal disciplinary matter and chose not to elaborate on the issue. However, this was before his formal request to leave the club. The club's stance has been firm, insisting that the youngster is unavailable for transfer. Leeds rejected bids of around $32 million.
It's worth noting that the Yorkshire club originally acquired the Italian international for a significantly lower amount -- around $6 million -- so Leeds could make a hefty profit on his sale. They cannot afford to keep an unhappy player who won't play for the club. Everyone would be at a loss. As time passes, the pressure mounts to resolve this ongoing transfer saga.
Besides Everton, Gnonto has been linked with Inter. However, speaking to Radio Sportiva, Vigorelli played down speculation about a move to Serie A. The agent insists Gnonto's main aim is to return to the Premier League.
