Although Gerrard is an absolute Liverpool legend, his failure to win a Premier League is considered the only "stain" in his respectable career. Yet, that could change very soon...
When naming all of Liverpool's legends, one name immediately comes to mind - Steven Gerrard. The popular Stevie G has spent almost his entire career at Anfield - his final season was with La Galaxy - leaving an indelible mark.
In 17 seasons with the Reds (26 including youth categories), Gerrard made 710 appearances, which puts him in third place on the all-time list, behind Ian Callaghan and his former teammate Jamie Carragher. Additionally, he is the fifth club's all-time top scorer with 186 goals in all competitions.
He's won the 2005 UEFA Champions League, 2001 UEFA Cup and Super Cup, two FA Cups, three League Cups, and a Community Shield. However, the fact that he failed to win the Premier League - sometimes considered even more valuable than the UCL trophy among the English clubs - is considered perhaps the only "stain" in his respectable career. Still, it could change very soon...
Namely, given that Liverpool are on the verge of winning their second Premier League trophy - excluding 18 titles before the EPL officially started in 1992 - Reds' fans came up with an ingenious idea: sign Gerrard as a free agent, sub him on in five games, and allow him to win his maiden EPL title!
He’s technically a free agent…

The 44-year-old former midfielder has been retired since 2016, when he hung up his boots after a season in the USA. He afterwards started a managerial career, leading Liverpool's youth teams, Scottish Rangers, Aston Villa, and the Saudi Al-Ettifaq, which he left in January.
Technically, Gerrard could come out of retirement, which would make him a free agent, and the Reds could sign him. Nevertheless, this seems more like fans' empty wish than a realistic and possible turn of events, though it genuinely depicts the love and appreciation Liverpool supporters feel for their legend, Stevie G.
