Starving AFC Leopards midfielder sends SOS after salaries dry up

Congolese midfielder Mugheni says he has not been paid for three months and has nothing to eat.

AFC Leopards player, Fabrice Mugheni is a man in anguish as he has not been paid for the last couple of months and he now says he cannot even afford to buy basic needs like food.

The Congolese midfielder who joined Leopards at the start of the season has been inspirational for the title chasers but two weeks ago, he picked a knee injury that may have ended his season prematurely

He is now begging the club to pay him his dues. He says he has not received a salary for three month and things are not so good on his end.

I have not been paid for the last three months and at the end of this month it will be before without getting a dime, things are really tough,” he told Mozzart Sport.

The former Rayon Sports midfielder says he cannot even afford to buy a meal at the moment adding the club is torturing him by not paying his dues.

I am totally broke, I cannot afford even my next meal and there is no one I can run to, I want the club to pay me my dues because I do not think it’s fair for me to suffering this way yet I am contracted to the club,” he added.

He wants Leopards to honour their part of the contract as he is suffering at a time when he is nursing a bad injury.

“I am injured currently, I cannot do any job to buy basic things like food. The club should honour the contract. I have been giving my best to the team when fit and the least they can do is pay my dues,” he added.

Leopards is facing serious financial challenges and has not paid its players for a couple of months.
