Ollie Rathbone’s superb first-half strike proved decisive in a tightly contested encounter that saw Wrexham maintain a four-point cushion over the chasing pack in the race for a top-six finish.
The result also handed Charlton their first defeat since Sichenje’s introduction into the fold in recent weeks, halting any momentum Nathan Jones’ side had been building.
Sichenje was thrust into action as early as the 13th minute after Reece Burke was forced off with a knock, while Vyner entered the fray in the 77th minute for his second appearance since joining Wrexham from Bristol City in the January transfer window.

Despite the slender scoreline, Charlton carved out the clearer opportunities in the opening exchanges.
Luke Berry hesitated in a promising position, allowing Issa Kabore to recover and block, while former Addick George Dobson and Sonny Carey were also denied during a lively spell for the hosts.
Harry Clarke later skewed wide when well placed, compounding the home side’s frustration.
Wrexham, however, demonstrated ruthless efficiency. On the half-hour mark, a partially cleared cross from Callum Doyle dropped invitingly to Rathbone on the edge of the area.
The midfielder deftly shifted the ball onto his left foot before unleashing a skidding volley that nestled into the far corner, leaving the Valley stunned.
Charlton continued to probe after the restart, but their lack of clinical edge proved costly. Tyreece Campbell missed a gilt-edged chance, while Arthur Okonkwo produced a brilliant full-stretch save in the 90th minute to deny Carey and preserve Wrexham’s unbeaten away run, now extended to six matches.

Thrown into the contest under challenging circumstances, Sichenje delivered a composed and disciplined performance at the heart of Charlton’s defence.
The former AFC Leopards centre-back registered six defensive contributions, winning all three tackles he attempted while adding three clearances and three recoveries.
He prevailed in three of his five ground duels, although he was unsuccessful in his lone aerial contest and was dribbled past once during the match.
On the ball, Sichenje looked assured, recording 72 touches and completing 53 of his 61 passes for an impressive 87 per cent accuracy.
His distribution included one key pass and one accurate cross from two attempts, while he completed four of six long balls in a display that highlighted his range.
Across 17 ball carries, two were classified as progressive, covering a total carrying distance of 157.8 metres, though he conceded possession 10 times.
The appearance marked his third outing for the Championship side, further showing his growing influence within Jones’ setup despite the defeat.
On the opposite side, Kenyan prospect Vyner was introduced in the 77th minute as Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson sought to consolidate the lead.
The centre-back replaced goalscorer Rathbone and was tasked with helping see out the result.
In his brief stint, Vyner won one ground duel but was unsuccessful in an aerial challenge and had limited involvement, registering just a handful of touches as Wrexham focused on game management in the closing stages.
The victory lifts Wrexham to sixth place on 57 points after 35 matches, placing them firmly in the play-off positions, while Charlton remain 18th on 41 points, seven clear of the relegation zone.
