Former Shabana FC striker Mathew Tegisi starred for Pamba Jiji FC on Saturday, scoring twice as the Tanzanian side thrashed KMC 3-0 at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.
Tegisi opened the scoring in the 7th minute and doubled the lead in the 27th. Guinean forward Yonta Camara added the third in stoppage time to seal a comprehensive win. Pamba Jiji, coached by Kenyan Francis Baraza with John Waw overseeing the goalkeepers, also featured fellow Kenyans Brian Eshihanda and Saphan Siwa in the starting lineup.
The victory keeps Pamba Jiji atop the Tanzanian league table with 21 points after eight rounds.
In Zambia, Kenyan striker Moses Shumah came off the bench just after the hour mark as Power Dynamos suffered a 1-0 defeat to Egyptian side Pyramids FC in a CAF Champions League clash.
Mohamed Red scored the decisive goal in the 51st minute for the defending champions.

The result leaves Polokwane in seventh place with 20 points from 13 matches.
In England, Zak Vyner played the full 90 minutes for Bristol City as they secured a 1-0 win over Portsmouth in the Championship, with Anis Mehmeti scoring the only goal in the 17th minute.
Meanwhile, Thomas Silko Amari remained an unused substitute as Leicester City fell 3-2 to Sheffield United.
In League Two, Harambee Stars left-back Vincent Harper featured for the first half as Walsall defeated Bromley 3-1. Daniel Kanu, Ryan Finnigan, and Courtney Clarke were on target for Walsall, while Ben Krauhas scored for the visitors.
Clarke Oduor was introduced in the 87th minute as Grimsby Town lost 2-1 to Tranmere.
