Both Harambee Stars players got full minutes of action as their teams secured wins
Kenyan internationals Joash Onyango and Masoud Juma featured yesterday night as their respective teams marched to victories in the Tanzanian and Moroccan top-tier leagues. Here is a wrap of how they played.
Joash Onyango
Joash ‘Berlin Wall’ Onyango was swiftly restored back to the matchday starting eleven, days after being rested in Simba’s cup tie. The aggressive centre back got a full ninety minutes under his belt as his side rallied from a goal down to complete a 2-1 comeback against Kagera Sugar at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Just when the game seemed to be headed into a barren draw by the halfway interval, Erick Mwijage struck for Kagera Sugar on the stroke of half time to give them the lead heading down the tunnels.
After the restart, that lead would not last long. Bernard Morrison found the back of the net to restore level pegging in the match and set Simba on their way to staging a comeback.
Halfway through the second half, in the 67th minute, Morrison played a part once again in the second goal, setting up former Gor Mahia striker Meddie Kagere who scored the second goal that completed the turnaround.
With the win, Simba extended their lead at the top to four points having played two games less. Simba next take on fierce rivals Yanga FC in the Kariakor Derby this Saturday.
Masoud Juma
Got a full ninety minutes of action as Difaa El Jadidi emerged 1-0 winners against Youssoufia Berrechid in round 14 action of the Moroccan Botola Pro league.
The match, played at the Stade Municipal de Berrechid, saw Difaa temporarily get out of the relegation places as they jumped to 14th on the log. Mehdi Karnass scored the solitary winning goal of the game in the 70th minute after they were awarded a penalty kick.
