Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga will get a chance to lift his second piece of silverware of the season after his Al Duhail side booked their place in the 2025 Qatar Cup final on Wednesday, 23 April.
Just days after seeing his team finish runners-up in the Ooredoo Stars League, Olunga was back in action on Thursday at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, as Al Duhail fought the hard way to beat Al Gharafa 4-3 on post-match penalties following a barren draw in regular time.

Olunga, who finished his league season with 12 goals, played for 71 minutes in the semi-final clash before being substituted off for Edmilson Junior.
Junior ended up to be one of Al Duhail’s successful penalty takers, alongside Almoez Ali, Benjamin Bourigeaud, and Bassam Al Rawi.
Al Duhail will now look to add to their 2024-2025 QSL Cup when they face Al Sadd in the final to be played on 10 May.
Elsewhere in Serbia, Harambee Stars defender Collins Sichenje was back in action for Vojvodina as they secured a 1-0 victory over Novi Pazar on Thursday.
Sichenje, who was left on the bench in their last league match, was introduced three minutes after the hour mark, playing for 28 minutes as the visitors held on to their 13th win of the season.
Vojvodina are now fourth in the championship group and two points behind Richard Odada’s OFK Beograd, who were held to a 2-2 draw by second-placed Partizan.
In the match, Odada was again left on the bench for a second game running.
His last appearance was in early April against the leaders, Red Star Belgrade.
