Elsewhere in Sweden, Kenyan youngster Stanley Wilson was in AIK's matchday squad as they won away from home

The Harambee Stars duo of Eric Ouma and Alwyn Tera were on Thursday, 24 July, actively involved for their sides as they kickstarted their European campaigns in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Conference League.

Ouma, after starting on the bench all through preseason, was given the nod in Raków Częstochowa’s clash against Slovakian side Zilina, helping the Polish club to a big 3-0 win in their first-leg home game.

The Kenyan left-back featured for 75 minutes before being hooked for Brazilian forward Adriano.

He left the pitch with his side 3-0 up, courtesy of second-half goals from Oskar Repka, Jonatan Brunes, and French forward Lamine Diaby-Fadiga.

Rakow’s comfortable win puts them in a favorable position to qualify for the final round of qualifiers, but they must navigate through their return leg next Thursday at Štadión pod Dubňom.

Elsewhere in Armenia, Kenyan midfielder Tera was a second-half substitute for Ararat Armenia as they settled for a barren draw with Romania’s FC Universitatea Cluj in a home first-leg at the Yerevan Football Academy Stadium.

Tera, 28, was introduced into the game two minutes after the hour mark, coming in for Armen Ambartsumyan, but could not help the reigning Armenia Super Cup champions get a crucial advantage ahead of an all-important second leg at Sibiu Municipal Stadium next week.

In Estonia, Kenyan midfielder Stanley Wilson was only on the bench as AIK beat Paide 2-0 away from home to take a big advantage into their UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

Wilson, 18, last featured for his Swedish club in late February but was named in the matchday squad days after missing AIK’s league loss to Mjallby last weekend.

Kenyan midfielder Richard Odada was, however, missing in Dundee United’s 1-0 win over Luxembourg National Division side UNA Strassen, also in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

Odada, who returned to the Scottish side after a brief loan at Serbian side OFK Beograd, has only featured once for Jim Goodwin’s side in their five matches, with it being a 25-minute cameo in a club friendly against St. Johnstone.

The 24-year-old will hope to get some valuable minutes as his side flies over for the second leg next week.
