Former Mathare United forward came in second half to inspire Sodra to victory

Harambee Stars creative midfielder Eric Johanna was introduced in the second half as his side Jonkopings Sodra beat IFM Goteborg U21 team 5-3 today in an international club friendly played at the Stadsparksvallen stadium.

The club opted for a friendly match as they had been out of action since June 19 where they beat GAIS by a solitary goal and will play their next league match on Tuesday next week against Falkenberg.

Sodra who are placed fifth in the Swedish second tier were forced to rally from a goal down after Oscar Wendt gave Goteborg the lead hardly two minutes into the game.

Perparim Beqaj who helped himself with a brace level led matters for the hosts in the sixteenth minute before Hannes Lennartson put Goteborg ahead again in the twenty third minute.

Sodra who made nearly wholesome changes at half time found themselves trailing by two goals at the breather as Alexandersson Fastigheter netted the third goal for Goteborg in the 38th minute.

The introduction of Johanna and more than half a dozen changes before restart proved right as Jacob Strandsater netted the second goal in the 43rd minute before Beqaj completed his brace in the 64th minute.

Elias Nordstrom threw Sodra ahead in the 66th minute while Adrian Edqvist put the match beyond the visitors reach in the dying minutes of the game.
